Fun & Creativity
Art
Art is one of the many ways children express themselves. Art is a way for children to communicate their feelings. It is through art that children develop their fine motor skills. In the Montessori environment, we provide open-ended art activities that help children explore and use their creativity.
Music
Music is a universal language, loved by children and adults in cultures throughout the world. Children have an uninhibited inclination to move, dance, and make music, as well as an innate capacity to appreciate all types of music. Musical activities are included in the daily life of the Montessori classroom and respected as much as other curriculum subjects.
Movement
Movement is an integral part of the Montessori method. Children move freely through the prepared environment, choosing a shelf by which to select an activity and a table by which to work. Movement is also deeply tied to social opportunities.
Language
Cindi's Hope Early Learning Center offers opportunities for communication, including telling and listening to stories, singing, creating music and art, and engaging specialized language materials that promote language learning.
Mathematics
A child’s mind is mathematical and based on the order of perceptual awareness found in the development of the senses. Through play with math materials, children approach math with hands-on, visual, and physical learning aids.
Sandbox Play
Play activities are essential to the healthy development of children. As they’re scooping and sifting, dumping, and molding, kids are learning about more than just what they can do with sand. They’re also building important practical skills and learning social and emotional lessons about life.
